To put 3 point on h or not

Just wandering if it was feasible to find a used 3 point setup to put on my h to use occasional bush hog and disk? Just seeing how it would work. I've seen some used ones for 250-500 and that would be cheap for a spare tractor

I put a Saginaw on my M several years ago. It is a fantastic hitch. It is not too much more than your upper used price range. It comes with two new hydraulic cylinders, and it is NEW. I say get a Saginaw, and you"ll never regret it. Made my M a super useable tractor, and everything fits. You"ll learn to live without live hydraulic power - but you"ll wish you had it.

Put an economical one on my 1950 "H", and used it and over-used it, mowing, plowing, discing, etc., and bent it up pretty bad. Had it re-welded, wound up costing what a better one would. Do it, You"ll like it, but you"ll use it more than you think, so get the best one you can afford.

Had one on a Super M, one of the better decisions I ever made. Not designed for depth contolled implements, but good for most everything else.

As noted by Ellis below that ad is still being shown in the photo ads. It is ad #511809 dated Mar. 21st and the hitch is located in Illinois. I have no interest in this hitch but recall seeing it as well so went and found it for you in case you want to check it out, Hal.

i would do it, that would make a H a handy tractor to have without having to spend a lot of time finding usable implements that were designed for the H originally, add a overrunning clutch to the pto shaft for brush hog work,[ about 60 bucks] and enjoy the seat time, the over running clutch will let you stop when you need to, without the pto back driving the tractor and winding up with the H in the duck pond, nose up a tree, or mashing the wife's new car
