1466 HELP

i just baught a 1466 and it dosent have an batteries in it, so i took my batteries out of my JD 4020 for now, how to i hook them up, its 2 6 volts i believe, Neg to ground on tractor on "passenger side" then Positive on passenger side to the neg on drivers side? then pos on drivers side to starter? thanks

the battery on the "passenger side the - should be grounded to tractor, the positive post from the passenger side should run over to the negative on the "drivers side battery, and then your positive on the drivers side goes to the starter

correct as stated below - if this is a "work" tractor take a magic marker and write the terminals on the side panels, makes it easier to remember next time
