Hydraulic pump seals 350 Diesel

Trying to find hydraulic pump seals for 350 Diesel. The seal is marked TPHP1-3-89 C/R. My parts book does not show this style of seal. It's for a 3/4 shaft, .40 thick and 1.82 outside.

I'm just guessing, but does TPHP=Thompson Power Hydraulic Products?

Thompson and Pesco made the original hydraulic pumps for 300-450 tractors. C/R is Chicago Rawhide, a seal manufacturer, and is still in business. See if they offer a cross to the old seal.

It is possible that this is a proprietary seal made for this application exclusively for the pump mfr. and/or IHC. If that's true, you might only be able to find one from the pump mfr. or CIH. I've run across some bearings that the bearing manufacturer will only supply to CIH and aren't crossable to anything else without serious modification.

Thanks for the reply, you're right SKF bought out Chicago Rawhide 17 years ago. Talked with Cathy at 224 535 4641 and she sized a seal SKF7661. It's a single sided seal, not like the one TPHP1-3-89 C/R. She said they made the seals in those days by hand and the second side was to hold the spring in place. Found the new style here in Phx and will try to install tomorrow. Thanks for the help.

Found some old notes I have from working on the pumps in the past. TPMP1389 is IH 363781R91 or CR8842 at one time. That info is probably over 10 years old.
Disregard the rear seal mentioned in the other post.
Looked at some old seal boxes I saved and it looks like one seal I used for TPHPl 3-89 is national 471137 .875X1.828X.375. Front seal Thompson pump.
Also found a CR8842, .875X1.828X.375. Don't remember which one was the best.

Yes, these numbers are correct. Thank you, now tell me how to seal the presure pipe from the pump to the connecting block on the right side. The book just shows the pipe a #9 but I don't see how to seal it to the block. I used an Oring but didn't work. The end for the pump is fine, it's flared.

From memory that's a special end that can't be serviced if its leaking between the nut with male pipe threads and the steel pipe.
Can't remember how straight the pipe is near the nut. You can get a compression fitting to fit on the steel pipe (need to cut pipe) with pipe threads on the other end from a hydraulic shop that can work. May need to install it on the pipe and use a short pipe to make it fit. Unless the pipe is straight just right behind the nut the fitting may reach. See about half or more of those tractors or more with a hydraulic hose replacing the line from the pump to the block.
