International 574 with tick in motor.

Just took apart my 574 due to a ticking noise in the C200 engine. Here are some pictures of what I found. Question is where did it come from? It had to be intake, maybe Carb? Any other ideas? Do I need to do any repair to the piston or Head?

screw out of the choke butterfly or maybe throttle plate?

Have the head checked for flatness, file the burrs off of the piston, check the block for flatness and reassemble. We had a tick in a v6 401 truck engine in a uni-system many years ago. Shut it down and found that something fell in when the spark plugs were changed. Pulled the plug and fished the metal out with a magnet and went back to using it. We ran it for years and you couldn"t tell it happened. I would do the other things just because the head is off, unless it was burning oil before It will run just fine.
