Hello all how is everyones projects going.
I"m debating on whether to use gates rubber hose or a stainless steel braided hose.
My second question is can I plug all the hydraulic pump inlets and outlets until I add hoses and still use the tractor.

Thanks to all reply"s in advance.

Jim/G Warmer - A clarification: It's OK to plug christmas tree valve outlets on a letter series tractor so long as the control handle is centered. But DO NOT the pump inlet/outlet ports then run the tractor!

Good point,I ''assumed'' only equipment hoses were being considered. And without a picture it is just question marks. Jim

Is this a series I or II Super H? If it has the series II timing gear driven pump, DO NOT plug the inlet and outlet pump ports. I don't know one way or the other about the belly pump on the earlier models, as I don't know the internal plumbing. You will break or burn up the timing gear driven pump on a series II, depending on how tight the intenal gears of the pump are. If they are somewhat loose, the oil left in the pump will slip by the gears and eventually get hot and burn up the pump. If the gears are tight, you will break something, probably one of the cam timing gears or the pump shaft or driving gear.

You could "loop" a hose from the inlet to the outlet and fill it with oil, but even that might tend to get hot if run a long time, bit it would be better than running it plugged.
