1206 Ih engine is it possible

I am new to ths 1206 IH tractor, not running when I got it, found out I need to pull the second piston from the front of engine as there is debre on top of the piston stopping it from turning over, was wondering if it is possible to pull pan and undo the connecting rod and pull piston out the bottom end? rather than pull the head. Thanks for any help

u need to get aridge reamer and cut out the ring in top of cylinder just dont cut to much and the piston should come righjt out the top

what sort of debre? it may be possible to blow it out with air.

Pull the head.

You cannot pull rod and piston out the bottom and if you have enough ridge that you need to cut it out that sleeve is way beyond use in a diesel engine. Clean the carbon above ring travel and piston will come out easily, with head off of course.

Do it right the first time and you'll never need to do it again. If all you do is patch it up, you'll be patching for as long as you own it.
