I have an IH 130 with cultivators, wheel weights, fasthitch with plow, disc, bush hog, scraper blade. it good cosmetic condition for its age. It has been garaged - so no rust. Does anybody have an idea of the approximate value of this tractor. I'm considering selling it and trying to figure out a reasonable asking price.

would it make any difference if this was originally a commercial tractor, original paint was yellow but has been painted red? My location is in central Virginia

If what you have is an International and not a Farmall it is rare, and originally yellow would be more rare. The yellow ones were mostly marketed by the Industrial division. I have seen original pictures of a yellow 140, but not a 130. I once purchased what was sold to me as an International 100, but when it was delivered by the seller it was a Farmall. The industrial 140's could be sold with an optional front bumper. Check out International Harvester tractors by Randy Leffingwell, page 155.

No, it is a International Harvester 130. From what I've learned, it was the commercial or industrial version of the Farmall 130. You can still see in some places the original yellow paint.

Above answer is unchanged. Industrial versions had a foot throttle and a square (diamond) front axle as well as a brace between the axle and the block. Without these parts it is a Farmall painted yellow. Any remaining emblems on the hood should say International, otherwise Farmall.

I checked the tractor for these parts and it has the square axle, the brace, International emblems, but no foot throttle.

(quoted from post at 21:28:44 03/26/13) I checked the tractor for these parts and it has the square axle, the brace, International emblems, but no foot throttle.

Pictures would be great as they always help! If it is the Industrial 130, not very many were made (as with the standard 130); but that doesn't really do anything to the price.....maybe for the demand though. I'd say $3,000 is a fair price....maybe a little more or less depending on condition of all the mechanicals and cosmetics, as well as condition of implements.
