Wide front from 450 = wide front on a 300?

I have a 1956 300 that has a narrow front. I have a buddy that has a 450 in his scrap yard with a wide front. Without me having to pull it off and compare... will the front end off the 450 fit on the 300?

not without some cobbing...

The frame rail spacing is wider on the 450, so you'd have to cob up an adapter plate or something.

The knees are taller on the 450 front end, so the 300 would run even more uphill than it does now.

Looks like this is another question getting different answers.
If the 450 is the original type from IH. Without hubs it has spindles that use a different size wheel bearings than a original 300. Steering arm that bolts to the vertical steering shaft has a different bolt pattern. Rear wish bone support is different. Rest of the wide front parts were the same.
If you get the hubs with the 450 wide front that just leaves the 2 parts needed to use it on a 300. 300 and 450 spindles are the same length and use the same knees. The different wheel bearings and hubs from a 450 would just give you more strength.
