Farmall A oil ?

What kind of weight of oil should I use on my farmall A engine, For the winter and summer?

10/30;15/40 is good for year round use.Thats what I use in my fleet...

I have been using 15w40 in every thing and it works good, but last year i started using sae 30 low ash it cost more but its suppose to be better for the gas engines. I dont know if it is or not time will tell.

The factory states SAE 30, so I just use 10W30. If you use thicker oil than spec, it can decrease efficiency by alot.

i use 15w40 oil in just about all my stuff. I use a brand that carries an S rating as well as C.

i can only think of 1 tractor that don't hav ethat in there.. and it's on a 10w30 synthetic.

How cold does it get where you are at?

I run 15W-40 in all mine, but they are inside a heated building in the winter. I would move to a 10-30 if they are outside in the winter and it gets real cold.
