H Manifold Studs

I'm finally putting my H back together. When I removed the manifold, three of the studs came out. Do I need to use a thread sealant when I put them back in?

If they go into the water jacket, Using PTFE based pipe dope is good. if not, using antisieze compound is good. Jim

I am thinking the lower studs go into the jacket, so PTFE them.
