Shop mule A14

Built by Hebard company in Chicago from the early 40s to about 1948 using IH parts and parts Hebard made themselves. Same engine and transmission/final drive as the Farmall A. I think about 2000 were made so they are not common but I would not call them rare. The military used them (on aircraft carriers for one). Mostly used for towing service, but there were attachments, snow plow, mower, etc. some even had cabs which were mostly made of plywood. The production ended when Hebard Co was sold to Buda and then to Allis Chalmers. Of course AC wanted nothing to do with IH parts so production of the Mule from IH parts stopped. The very last Mules had nameplates that said Buda-Hebard.
