Will the standard SM rim support 14.9 X 38? Thank you. |

I switched the centers and I am now able to run a 16.9 x 38. |

| All the new Super M"s I ever saw here in Michigan came with 13-38 tires. The new M"s built after WW II came with 12-38"s, before that some with 11-38"s, and some with 12-38"s. Most 400"s had 13-38"s, but some had the 15.5-38"s like all the 450"s and 560"s had. |

| | Just to "add" to the statements. My 14.9s are on 12" rims and I would not personally put them on any more narrow of a rim,but you can get away with 11" rims.I have seen it done more than once. |

| My opinion is don't go less than a 12 inch rim. The tire will fit better on a 13 inch. Also, due to the diameter of the tire the ground speed will increase. |

| At the SM time they called 14.9X38 13X38 and that was one tire option for a SM on 11 or 12 inch wide rims as listed by IH. Not the recomended rim width from tire manufactures, but lots of different size tires have been mounted on rims other than ideal. |

| The 14.9 was designed to be an upgrade replacement for the 13.6, so yes, it will fit on the same rim. |

| Yes, that size of tire is common on M sized tractors. |
