| That is not an easy question to answer. I've got a model J on my 450, and the model J with the standard spring is supposed to be good for about 110 horsepower. Your 806 came with an Ensign, right? The problem is I don't know if your engine will idle down very well with the Impco model J. My factory Ensign regulator had some kind of idle circuit through the regulator, not just through the throttle body ("carburetor"). But it runs just fine on the Impco, it just won't idle down below about 600 rpm. Any questions give me a call, 318-465-0797. Good luck.
