140 fast hitch plow

I am buying a fast hitch plow for my 140. The part number on the beam is 520849R11 which seems to match the plow for a 140, but there is a serial number tag riveted to the side of the beam which has on it the serial number and also says "cub 194 Plow." From what I can find, the serial number for the beam for a cub plow is 520260R21CUB. Can anyone confirm for me that this is a 140 plow? Thanks

To clarify, the part number 520260R21CUB is not on the beam but the part number 520849R11 is on the beam. What is throwing me off is the riveted tag to the side of the beam which has the word "cub" on it. Thanks

One way to tell. The CUB 194 plow has a "Kink" in the plow beam, while the 194 plow does not.Older units had CUB stamped in that "Kinked" beam as well.Did you get the coulter unit?? They also are different between the CUB and 100/130/140 models.(You"ll notice that "Kink" standing behind the plow unit).Maybe that later production models of the 194 were the same,I am more familiar with the early versions, the ones without the tag riveted to the RH side of the beam.Hope this helps!!

The numbers you gave are correct. I have both kinds, including one configured just like the one you are looking at to buy. I bought it at an auction along with other one point implements; the tractor there was a 140. I think you will be fine with that plow. I believe in going by the part number rather than the riveted tag in this case.

Frankly I think it would work fine regardless.

Most of the difference is the Cub beam is shorter due to the Cub's lower ground clearance compared to a 140.
