HELLO

I have a Rowcrop Farmall 460 with a wide front end. I have a chance to purchase a model 2001 loader for it. I was wondering if the 460 with that loader would pick and move 4X4 round bales of baleage. Thanks for any information, Jay

I would think a 460 would do just fine as long as you had something hanging out back to counter the weight of the bale. I can say the 460 sure is a heck of a lot bigger tractor then my Ford 841 and I lift 6X6 bales with it all the time. Ya it is all it wants but it has done it for years

We had one on a 460 for years. The loader ended up on a 560 and we were moving 1700lb bales with it. Just be careful as the front spindles are lighter on the 460. We tried to go acros a frozen plowed field empty and broke one off. It was the only one extra with chains on that day. I second the weight on the back. Do not damage the tip cylinder for the bucket the brackets and cylinder are hard to come by. I reaaly liked that loader but once it was on it pretty much stayed there unless you used a narrow front like we did at first.
