Shaft is scored all round at o-ring. Do you just drive a speedi-sleeve on and then force it into a new o ring or is machining required? Does anyone sell new shafts? Are there other repair options? Thanks for ideas, JD |

| Yes, my bad, hydraulic pump. Have never used a speedi-sleeve. Do you then just FORCE it through the o-ring? Pretty tight fit now. Bought 1 used pump and ended up with same problem. Would like to find a good one. Thanks to all for the info. JD |

| I would sand it till all the burs are gone then install the speedy sleeve as any burs will not let the sleeve slide on easy. i did that once on the Cs pump |

| Do you mean the hydraulic pump? Because "oil pump" normally refers to ENGINE oil pump, and the engine oil pump on a cub does not have any o-rings or shafts that I can see in the parts diagram. It drives off the camshaft.
If you are talking about the hydraulic pump, try to find a good used one. Cub parts are pretty common. |

| I did one last summer and got the seal to hold, but then I tried to install a belt pulley drive and discovered that the whole shaft had a slight twist to it. So I ended up having to replace the shaft anyway. I think they are available on this site. Jeff |
