C vs. SC Hydraulic Touch Control

Are the hydraulic touch control units the same from C to Super C?

Have SC tractor and a spare C touch control.

The touch control on the SC is very slow in lifting a 6' snow plow both hot & cold. Fluid & hydraulic screen are OK. Lift position with plow and tractor not runnning plow immediately descends to ground. Hydraulic draw bar will lift small truck off ground so believe hydraulic pump is OK. Believe the touch control should be able to lift 2000 lbs.

Would rebuild touch control on SC but just too cold for this fine work now. Can I check some prone areas like relief valve, broken spring etc??
 
easist way to correct problem is to switch touch control units. Only 4 bolts and control levers. Should be able to change in about 1/2 hour. If you havn't done before it may take 1 hour.YOU have to take one off to rebuild and its much easier to put other on and will take less time to do. GOOD LUCK
 
The touch control box has a pressure relief built into it. It is preset at 1,500 psi max. It also has a 2.50 piston in it. If I did the math right, that would be about 3 1/2 ton of lift. I would doubt you have that if the control is operating like you say. The fast hitch cylinder is a 3.0" cylinder with no pressure release that I can see. It also has a mechanical advantage with all the arms that it has to work with. Even at the 1,500 psi, it should lift about 5 ton. In the next couple of weeks I will bring a gauge home from work. I want to know how much pressure the pump is putting out. I have now rebuilt the complete system from front to back. The touch control box has check valves in it to allow fast extend (raising) a slow retract (lowering).

Where is the proper high press port to attach a pressure gauge to get the pump output pressure on a SC with complete hydraulics?
