farmall 230 hydrolics

anyone know how to prime the hydrolic pump on a 230 I filled the resovore and was able to get some fluid into the lines but not a lot

there is a filter, if it is clean, you should be able to start engine and press lift levers forward, hold for a few secs and pull rearward and hold for a few. 4 or 5 times should clean the air from lines. leave filler plug out while doing this.

wheres the filter plug ?

The reservoir is in the driveshaft casting under hydraulic control box. There should be a plug in the top of the driveshaft housing on the left side.

How'd you get the oil into the reservoir, if you don't know where the filler plug is?
