difference between 600 and 650

Would there be anything that you could see by just looking at a 600 that would be different on it from a 650, what years were the 600 made, I"ve heard and read anywhere from 6 months to two years, what would be the last casting date and serial number on them, thanks

just by looking , the 600 has a red grill and the 650's is white, other than that its the same tractor. the 600 was made in 1956, while the 650 was made in 56,57 and 58. the super wd9 was made till 1956 then the 600 the same year and followed by the 650 the same year, 1956. dont know the last serial #.

a quich look the paint is different as mentioned by rustred but remember many people wanted their tractor to look like the new ones and many times the red grill became white in the later years.

Example - Not a 650...

on the 600 the chrome strips are right at the edge of the grill openings and the 650 they are set back a couple inches. The 600 also has a chrome strip down the center of the grill and the 650 does not.

What little I think I know is 600 tractors went above serial # 2000, with a few not leaving the factory until early 57.
At least some had crome or stainless strip down the center of the grill. Some indication late built ones didn't have the strip.
Not much difference in the tractors. 650 made in late 56, 57 and 58. 650 with gas engine is low production.

Check my post a few post's after this and you can see the difference. Another small change on 650 from the 600 was a wider top flare on the fenders.
