Super M brake pedal shaft removal

It gets tight when I try to slide it out. Have pedals, etc. off both sides, cleaned/deburred exposed ends of shaft. Shaft rotates freely and moves back and forth freely an inch or two, then gets very tight. Do I just drive it on out of there?

Just drive it out. Be prepared for some oil to come out after the shaft is removed, unless you already drained some out to lower the oil level.

Once the pedals, woodruff keys and old grease is off, the shaft
should pull right out. Nothing inside to hold it up.

My WD-9 shaft won't pull right out. I'm wondering if one of the shafts in the transmission has a failing bearing and a gear is pushing down on the bearing. It was beating out REALLY hard and I am just going to take the top off to double check that everything is ok.

If the exposed parts of the shaft is okay the inside probably got some rust sometime. Unless the top cover is being removed to see whats going on. Get a bigger hammer, but that may batter the shaft end unless care is taken.

Try working it back and forth and soaking with PB Blaster.
