Are the assembly diagrams published on partstore.caseih.com taken directly from the parts manuals originally published by Case IH for the letter series?

And if so, do the printed parts manuals contain any information (illustrated or otherwise) that's not available on the website?

I have never done a side-by-side comparison but I've been using only the website for the last 7 years without anything 'missing' that I can tell. others may have a different experience.

the parts diagrams on web site are direct copies of what was in the hard copy catalog. with the addition of parts substation information, found by clicking on (i) symbol in coloumn prior to part no !!

I disagree from my experience. I have noticed missing parts
numbers on parts that are no longer available. I will then get out
my parts book, find the part number and do a dealer search or
check out the Depot. I have done very little searching for the letter
series tractors, mostly numbered tractors and implements.

Well I just went through the pages I knew had missing numbers last fall and they are all there. Maybe that was one of the reasons they updated it. So with that a book in your hand should be the same as on the computer!

I just looked at a farmall 400,450 parts manual and compared it to the online to see if there was any changes from what it was. Places where parts say note A,B,C etc. I can't find the notes online like a parts manual. Maybe I don't know how? Prefer a manual, manual does not have updated part numbers though.

Unless CaseIH has changed lately the website does not have updated numbers either. I haven't looked at the webs latest modification. I have always assumed the web had copies of the latest manual. Doesn't really matter because if the part is still available CaseIH automatically updates them on the dealer's network. Or at least it has always worked for me. I have never seen a footnote on the web. I very much prefer the hard copies, also.

The original parts manuals contain notes at the bottom of the page for applications pertaining to any optional equipment, serial number breaks etc. the on-line manuals do not have these.
Original manuals also have valuable hand written notes in the margins placed there by the countermen over the years.
The on-line manuals are valuable, and are certainly a great resource, but if you can find a good original manual, it is well worth it.
