Propane 460

I notice my Farmall rowcrop 460 propane engine runs smoother when the choke is out about 3/4". Why?/What should I do? Thanks!

Well, you've got a lean mixture, whatever the reason, and pulling out the choke 3/4's of the way, is compensating, that is, bringing the mixture back to what it should be. Most likely, you have some kind of restriction in the path of the propane, which is most likely inside the regulator-vaporizer. It could also be the thingy between between the tank and the regulator-vaporizer, but I don't know much about it. Others would know more, that's all I can think of, though. Hugh
