M Flip-Up seat

I have a M with a seat that does not flip back. I am going to mount a corn picker on it and want a seat that flips up so I can stand up. My question is do they make a kit to convert old seat to flip or has anyone ever made one themselves. If you have made one, maybe you could tell me how and maybe even show pictures. Thanks
 
You can probably find a used flip up seat. You can also get just the flip up parts and use your existing seat as long as it is the standard 4 bolt seat, or buy a new 4 bolt seat and use the used parts. Try Wengers dot com or Steel Wheel Ranch 785-548-7437. Someone on this forum may have one to sell, also.
 
I have picked up a couple of them on Ebay. There is almost always one or more on there and sometimes go pretty cheap.
 
Marty Prill has one ending on ebay tonight, it is now at $18.50. He has a bad reputation, but I have bought twice from him now with no problems. I am hoping to get the starter from that tractor since mine just quit.

Which kind of seat does your m have. If its the old pipe seat i thought they all flipped up and if its the monroe seat the seat flip hinge from a farmall 300/400/350/450 (maybe others) will bold right on in between the frane and seat pan we did it on out h without a problem, the seat it might not work with is the monre with the shoch in the rear as the hinge and shock might interfear with each other.
 
This is to D V Isee you are going to put a mounted picker on you M, I have a M and W super
snute to fit an M It keeps the tractor running cooler if there is a lot of trash.
