Polarization

I just bought a 1955 Farmall Cub. I bought a new 6v. battery, and installed it, not knowing that it is positive ground. Tried cranking it a couple of times. Then read an owners manual and found out about the polarity. I imediatly reversed cables. Then re-polarized generator. I did get it started. Was wondering have I hurt anything, generator, voltage regulator, or anything else?

I doubt anything was harmed. What can happen if your genny is at opposite polarity then the battery and she runs that way for a while is the VR can burn its contacts.

Youre most likely just fine.
