I recently overhauled my D282 in my 706, i ran it then had to pull the head off took it to the machine shop for a crack on the back of the head leaking coolant the machine shop put "pins" in the crack i was dynoign today and the head was leaking in the same spot again, is there anything i can do about that crack in the head?

You might try some good stop leak formula and follow the instructions carefully. Depending on the leak, engine and cooling system pressure it might work for you. K&W is one brand I have used with some success on "M" heads.

The KW Metallic block sealer works good for me. The instructions have to be followed correctly. The inside of the cooling system has to be cleaned and backflushed thoroughly removing all traces of antifreeze. The sealer then needs to be mixed in a bucket with some water before it's dumped into the cooling system and then topped off with water. Run the engine until the engine cooling system is up to operating temperature. It's then time to drain the solution completely from the cooling system, and let it set overnight to dry. Those are the highlights as I remember. It's been a few years since I have used it, but I know that there are a couple cans out in my shop on the shelf. Good luck!
