i would like to know what is wrong with my 1948 super a every time i run it for about 15 to 20 mins it sounds like the water in the radiator is boiling how can i stop this from happening tractor does not overheat

Hi

The is natural for a Super A or any engine that has a thermo-siphon system. That is a non pressurized cooling system and no water pump. Nothing to worry about.

Cheers

Russ

Block is plugged where the coolant goes down by the sleeve at the bottom. Those holes arent very big and they do get pluged. When summer comes drain the coolant and fill with vinegar let it in there couple days then drain you will get lots of junk out. With the block clean like its supposed to be there wont be any googling after shutoff.

What you are hearing is the thermo siphon system working as it is designed to. It is supposed to sound like that. KR
