Yea, they are paper resin gaskets. Buy a sheet of gasket material and cut yourself a new one, I use aviation form-a-gasket with them.
In the 1890's, a professor of chemistry at Amherst College discovered that certain paper, when impregnated with a solution of glue and glycerin, was transformed into a crackle parchment-like material that was waterproof, oilproof and greaseproof. Because of it's parchment-like quality, the material was called "Vellumoid" (meaning "like vellum or parchment"). Since our humble beginnings, Vellumoid Incorporated has become a major producer of gaskets for automobiles, trucks, and miscellaneous sealing applications. |

| Our local Ace hardware has gasket paper too, as well as the auto parts stores. Zach |

| | 36F30, Do you mind my asking what farm store you get your gasket paper from? Fleet Farm no longer carries it around here, and TSC carries a little roll - but it is quite small. My husband used to get much larger/wider rolls of the stuff. Thanks. |

Thanks. |
Orschlens, TSC, And Shoppers Supply all carry it here. Arnold Motors and NAPA too.
Never asked at Oreilly's but they probably have it.
I have better luck with bigger sheets from Arnold Motor Supply.
None of them were big enough to make gaskets for the final drive cases on my 30 so I just made them in strips and sealed it with Aviation form-a-gasket.
Just looked up Fel Pro gasket material at O'reilly's they have sheets 36" wide and rolls up to 50 yards.

| 36F30, Thanks will save this info for my husband. Our TSC only had a small narrow roll and they said that is all they carry anymore. And yes, it is too narrow for some applications. Thanks again. |
