Have an H, it has a miss, it comes and goes and will move from one cylinder to the other. Have changed distributer, didn't help, could this be from the gear that is drive off the cam gear???

what about your spark plugs, have they been checked?lots of times when they get carboned up they will miss fire till engine gets put under load and they clean up. that idling around yard with tractor running cold is the worst thing.

Could be spark plugs as the other guy said and or some dirt in the carb that moves at times and makes the main jet stave the engine for a moment or 2

Changed plugs, rebuilt carb, didn't help, motor has been rebuilt but did not replace the cam and crank gears, could it be a well worn cam gear??
