WD9 clutch removal

can the clutch come out without removing the motor we got the clutch loose but didn't know if the clutch will come out through the top with out removing the motor

Yes it comes out without removing engine. Fuel tank gets removed, the front fuel tank mount and bellhousing cover which is one and the same comes off. The clutch comes out the top right there. send me email with your phone # I be glad to tell you the proccess. [email protected]

The computer is working MUCH better this morning. I don't remember how exactally it came out, but it was with much swearing. I called d282 and asked if this thing really comes out. Then I worked at it for another hour and I got it out. It was like a puzzle.

WOpp. I will take the brake activator that you already have off. There is no difference from what I have measured. No idea why they have different part numbers.

Yes, it is a real treat. Enjoy!

Dave happy to see you getting that tractor restored. I ground alot of feed with that before David got it. When you get done with it we want to see it. Keith

Yes we have the top of the bell housing AKA fuel tank support removed and unbolted the short shaft that goes from motor to transmission and clutch unbolted and can't seem to get the clutch out the top or get shaft out of pilot bushing and clutch to be able to lift out clutch ill send you an email mine is open thank you

Of course even with the new website, CaseIH still hasn't put the parts books for the 4-6-9 series tractors online...

The transmission input shaft unbolts in the middle, right? Probably similar to an H.

I know when I did the clutch on my H, I had to get that shaft turned at just the right angle and it fell right out. There seems to be only one sweet spot where the front yoke will move past the rear yoke.

It is kind of like that. Everything is upside down so that is quite different. It is the same as your H, as there is one sweet spot and it practically jumps out at you. There is one spot where you could SWEAR it would come out, but it won't.
