Paul Shuler 01-23-2013 07:05:57 170.29.64.4 Report to Moderator	Seems everyone has been posting a lot of photos here and on the tractor talk page so I thought I would put up a few. Sorry mine are not that interesting. Started Sat tear down to replace the axle seal. Things just seemed to go great till I went to take the 3 bolts out that hold on the box that has the light switch and amp meter. One bolt came right out. The two in the back corners are so rusted that the heads look more like rivets. They in a hard spot to get to. Tried to chisel them off but kept hitting the gas tank with my hammer. Went to Harbor Freight and picked up a cheap air chisel but has been way to cold to back out in my unheated barn. Those dang wrench’s get cold. My little grand daughter helped paw paw take the carrier off so I could work on the tractor. She had a good time staking my sockets up. [Reply]   [No Email]

I especially like the shot with your assistant (I have a grandson about the same age that's always ready "give me a hand"). What's that Merc O/B I see in the back corner in the 2nd shot? Looks to be a 50 HP or so? I know what you mean about deferring work on account in the cold. I have several minor repairs to make on both my SH and SM. It’s on a 1971 Kingfisher boat. I went with my dad when I was boy to buy it new. Have spent many of wonderful days sitting in that old boat crappie fishing listening to my dads stories. Taught both of my kids to fish in it and now have my little grand daughter to teach. She plays in the old boat all the time while I'm working. It has the front stick steering. It’s old but works just like it was new. Way to many memories to ever consider selling it. [Reply]  [No Email]
