Looking for a F-20 4" piston and a piston ring set

I've got a '37 F-20 with 4" aluminum pistons- Conformatic GE70. One of the pistons needs to be replaced. Any suggestions on where I should look for one? I've already contacted Alderson Tractor, but they don't currently have any of that part number.

I also need to get a piston ring set that fits the GE70 pistons, and would appreciate any suggestions on where to get the rings. Thanks!

for the rings, just measure them and they can be matched up, this way the partsman has something to go on, otherwise its just a shot in the dark.

measure the ring land , I think they use the same rings as a Super M. I got a set off of ebay a couple years ago, but the guy is not selling them any more. I might still have the boxes out in the shop somewhere, if I stumble upon them I will post the part number, they were Powermax Engine Parts if I remember right.

Contact Dave Reed at the Otto Gas Engine Works for the rings. If he doesn't have them in stock, he can make them. Good luck on the piston.

Hastings still makes ring sets for these engines , cant find my book at this moment , but got a set for my Farmall Reg. at my local engine rebuild supplier , F-20 i believe is the same engine , you will need to know your ring width though there a couple diferent sets depending on pistons that are used

If I can't find a piston that matches what I've got now, I'll have to look into buying a set of pistons, either new or used. Any suggestions for sources/part #s for going this route?

Check with Rice Equipment. Also, piston and sleeve sets show up fairly frequently now on eBay. Not cheap, but available. If you are willing to go back to 3 3/4 pistons, they are fairly plentiful.

I'd really like to stay with the current 4" sleeves because they're in such good condition... no pits or scratches, and I can barely detect the ring ridges with my fingernail. If I can't find a GE70 piston I may just get the 4" piston/ring set from Rice
