I was told somewhere international kept track of sales by serial numbers and knowing dealership date of sale and purchaser could find tractor serial number. My father bought a new farmall 200 and I would like to track it down. Any assistance would be appreciated. |

| Someone heard wrong, whether it was the person who told you that, or the person that told him, or whatever...
International Harvester did NOT keep track of that information. |

| You might try the IH Red Power forum. They have members keeping track of some different IH models. |

| If a local dealership kept records (if is a key word) they would have the info. When IHC was sold even serial # to dealer information was trashed. Wisconsin Historical Society has nearly all records that are extant. It certainly doesn't contain traceable records to the consumer. Local sale records, and personal local questioning are more likely to get any results. Sorry. Jim |

| | If the dealer is still in business you might go there and ask to see the parts book for that tractor. Some dealers have the seriel numbers listed in the book for their repeat customers. Might not help but it can sometimes be a resource. gramps |
