Super C touch control

I got the touch control out of the tractor over the weekend and started tearing it down. I was hoping to get further along with it before I had to bother you guys, but the tractor gods were not smiling. I got the leather boots off and they are in very good shape. I see they are now rubber and very expensive if you buy them new. I took the top and bottom covers off, but if I am seeing correctly, that is just to clean out the reservoir? The big question is about the parts drawing, I do not see the control spools or the chromed guide tubes in the other pictures on the drawing. Am I missing something here? Everything else looks pretty straight forward so far. I am sure there will be more questions.

I've done 2 of those and everything was in the parts book -- I think you mean the parts in the upper left corner of the diagram?

Rick, you probably already have this:

It was a great help while rebuilding my Super A's TC.

Not exactly sure how far you are wanting to go or how much you are wanting to spend. Unless you have had a failure a good honing an a re-seal should do the trick. The head end will be the most tedious, several spools and gadgets in there. Cleanliness counts.

Take the head off. Warning. Those gaskets stick very tight. When you start taking things out, take lots of pictures. Strip it down COMPLETELY, its the only way to get all the parts and passages clean. Be sure to remove and clean the screen.
