What type lubricaction for steering gear Farmall 400

I whipped up a 50-50 blend of red (RED!) wheel bearing grease and 140-weight oil with my drill, a coat hanger and a coffee can and poured it in. You can blend it to the thickness you swant, works great. And, it"s RED!

I tried the 90 wt in it at first. It had tight bushings and new steering shaft seal. STILL dripping,so I switched to Deere corn head grease.Working well now.

Never tried Deere cornhead grease, sounds like a good suggestion, have used all STP oil treatment or SAE 250 gear oil before.
