$1200 for a Stage 1 in good condition may be a little cheap. However you have admitted it needs an overhaul, that will cost about $1000 including parts and machine work if the buyer does it himself. All auctions are different. I sold an M for $1250 that looked no where near as good as your SH, and an H that looked much worse and needed about everything for $400 at an auction last Feb (SW Kansas). I expected the M to bring maybe $800-$1000, but two people wanted it. But based on appearance alone, if it was closer I would be tempted. On the downside, due to the engine it is about a $750 tractor. |

| the head has already been done all it might need is a kit and they run about 500, might get buy with ony rings and yes I can do my own labor, I put rings in it but think they sent the wrong ones compression is low on all four. But It will not sell for no 750, 1200 is absolutely bottom dollar or I will fix and try to get closer to 2500.But thank you for your input it helps make my mind up. |

| Your 500 in repairs and my value of 750 brings it to 1250, which I still call a little low. $2500 is more like a Stage 2. I bought a Stage 2 SH for 2250 10 years ago and a Stage 2 Super M for 2500 2 years ago, the SM is currently under restoration, will probably have 5-6000 in it. SH maybe 4000, I did not overhaul the engine, only the head. Neither is for sale as I am not in that business. The single front wheel is not a detriment as it easily exchanges with a narrow front. My SM came with a aftermarket WF that I am replacing with a NF, because the WF needed repairs and destroys the turning radius. But, yours is worth whatever you and the buyer agree on, good luck! |
