You have spark at the battery but not at the plugs. Find the break. Points have to be CLEAN to make contact. When that contact is broken the plugs fire. [Reply]  [No Email]

The distributor point gap is .020" hen on the tip of a breaker cam lobe. The Mag is .01" (be careful to keep the mag rotor in time, the rotor must point exactly where it did when removing the midplate to get at the points. Jim [Reply]  [No Email]

(Most 12 volt conversions do....) If it does try jumpering across the resistor. If the tractor now starts, the resistor has failed and must be replaced. (Yes - ballast resistors DO fail!) You might need points, condenser, cap, rotor or coil, or you could have a short or a break in the wiring anywhere on the tractor. Zach [Reply]  [No Email]
