Lubing Distributor on 300

Last week I bought a "new to me" 300. I have the original operators manual in immaculate condition with the delivery drivers name signed in it. I changed the points and was looking at the picts from manual. Here's 2 questions: They show that oil is added under the rotor cap. is this just a couple drops on the end of shaft?
Also how much lube is added to the grease plugs shown in pict?

Just a little. Doesent the manual give directions. That why they have the removable plugs so it doesent get too much lube. Take out plugs install fitting and one pump in each one should be plenty.

The one on the left just lubes a bushing. A half a pump is plenty. The one on the right is for the gears. I would give them 2 or 3 pumps the first time then maybe one pump once a year after that. I left the fittings in on mine & give them just a little (not a full pump) at each oil change.

There is a piece of felt in the shaft end. A couple drops of oil and wiped the excess off.

The drive housing has a vent hole that will allow excess grease to spill over into the timing gear area. You won't blow a seal by over greasing. Maybe the first time you may want to do 5-10 shots unless you know the history of the unit.

Sorry heat houser if the drive housing is over greased, grease would be forced up the distributor shaft or past the hydraulic pump seal. That is if a gasket or something else didn't give first.
Distributor shaft grease hole on the left in the picture has a hole on the other side that grease will come out of when it gets all it will take. Thats very little.
Long needle tip on a grease gun is handy to grease the drive gear housing. Stick it through the hole and when the grease gets high enough it will start back out the hole around the grease tip.
