Not sure wherether 154 questions belong here or garden tractors but here go's.
Is there an electric water pump that can be installed in lower hose. Probably should ask if it is needed/reccomended or does any good. The radiator is clean and I havn't used the tractor in hot weather under a load so I don't know if it heats up or not. Looked to be a new head on it when I got the tractor so I suspected engine may have heated in the past.

All facing is worn off of clutch. What kind of material can be used to reface the clutch? Was the clutch pedal origionaly adjusted so that after clutch stopped turning the wheel brake is applied via the clutch pedal. I figure clutch problems could be common as a result of operators using clutch to stop tractor.
If there is a better place to get info on the 154,please advise me.
Thanks

No need for a water pump. If the radiator and coolant passages are clean, it'll run just fine.
The clutch brake is designed to stop the pressure plate once the clutch has released. There is enough drag on the disc to continue to spin the top shaft of the transmission and thus grind gears if the clutch linkages aren't properly adjusted. You can get all the clutch parts here: http://www.hamiltonbobscubs.com/index.html
This site is fine, but there is also FarmallCub.com which has a numbered series section, or you can try the yahoo groups numbered series site. Many are regulars on all three.

All the clutch parts are still available so it wouldn't make much sense to try to get it relined unless you could get it done cheap. The splines are probably shot anyway, along with the input shaft. It had a clutch brake, but wasn't effective enough to stop the tractor, or cause recurring clutch failures. It's an old tractor; it needs a clutch kit. No big deal. If it has a new head, the old one probably suffered frost damage. If the exterior of the cooling system is as clean as you say, with a good fan belt, and it's full of water, it will never overheat.

I am glad to know parts are still available because it wasn't looking good localy when I tried finding them. Also good to know the cooling system is adiquate if it is clean and serviced.
Many thanks for the prompt replys.
