Off Topic R190 Truck

I posted this question on the classic truck forum but didnt get much of a response.I know this is not a tractor but it is an International.I have an R190 truck with a 450 Red Diamond engine.I just bought this truck and dont know any history on it.I want to change the engine oil but dont have any idea what weight or kind of oil to put in it.Any suggestions?

I have an R-202 with an RD450 and only use it in the summer but i run Rotella 15-40 in it

i have a 1964 R190 silage truck that doesn't get used in the winter. i use straight 30 wt oil in it with no problem.

rotella 15-40, for a older truck would be the best choice

Any good quality 15/40 will be just fine.

Originally, IH recommended straight-weight SAE 20 or SAE 30 in the warmer climates/months. For year-around use, I think you'd probably be good with a modern 15W40...as long as it has sufficient ZDDP in it.
