W-12 question

I got a W-12 with no seat. Everything is gone right down to the trans cover. Is it by chance the same as an F-12, or did W's have something different? Thanks, Fritz

totally different seat with mountings. the actuall seat is probably the same with all the holes in it.
the w-12 also had a kind of deluxe seat that bolted right to the trans cover.

W-12's and F-12's actually did share one seat in common. part # MB488B

these were on F-12's serial FS501-FS22236
it is stamped steel with 26 holes in it

W-12's used these seats but in the parts book they were described as seat(folding-special)
IIRC these seats flipped up to the side to get on the tractor easier.

The actual seat mount is going to be har to re-create. howeved, if you want to try it i can scan the page in the parts book with an illustration of it for you

the w12 used a 26 hole seat in 1934-35-36, which sat on a u shaped flat bar..it didnt move...in 37 they changed to the flip up seat like the o12..pg

Depends on the sn# the early ones used a bucket type seat that mounted directly to the transmission cover. The later ones used the flip seat that mounted to flat irons that went over the top of the cover, but not attached to it.

Hey old F-20, I would really appreciate it if you
could do that for me. S/N is 658. You can either
post it here or my e-mail. Thanks, Fritz

heres what i scanned from th eparts book. tried to get you something that showed both seat styles
