Looking for Old F-20

I noticed you posted pics of a 1933 IH two ton truck on the classic truck forum. I am currently thinking of buying a 1936 IH truck that is simmilar to yours. The truck is in pretty rough shape it has sat outside for the last twenty years. I was wondering how difficult it is to get information or parts for these old trucks before I make an offer. Any help and or advise you can give me? I also would like to see more pics of your truck if you still have it. Thanks for your time, Mark.

parts for the 'C' series ('34 and up) and the 'D' series of the late thirties are not too hard to find. I had a '33 model B4 with a 3 man cab, and the B series was only made for a year and a half. I actually found alot of parts for it on ebay while digging around. I wouldnt be scared to by one if the price is right. parts are out there, just need to look.

oldihc.org is a good website for older truck parts

because you said parts are not too hard to find for the D series trucks and i have not found an engine. i thought you have access to the engines from what you say. i sure cant find an engine. meaning can you let me know where there is one.

im not the united way, i dont do everyone's work for them. are parts out there? sure there are, you just need to start digging around. am i gonna sit here and find parts for other peoples projects when i have about 15 of my own to do? nope

in less than a years time i managed to find NOS, valves, main bearings, rod bearings, rings, piston set, carb, rod bearings, oil bath air cleaner, king pin set for a truck with an engine harder to find than an FBB. go try to find parts for an FAB3 engine and see how easy it is. and i got it all done by sitting at a computer

PS........the website i listed for him is a good place to start......
