BATTERY CUTOFF

Was wondering if anyone has come up with a good way to install a battery cutoff outside the battery box on the letter series Farmalls. I have several tractors ( cubs , super c , SMTA )that may only get started a couple of times each year so I think cutoffs would be a good idea to eliminate corrosion at the battery terminals. Thanks for any ideas and/or pictures.

My buddy gets ones like this off BMW's that are shipped over. The ones he gets have cables attached and are "shrink tubed" over the back of the terminals. I just leave it hanging out since the back is covered. I supposed I could build a bracket and mount it, but just never bothered.

If the batteries are not discharging (leaks to ground in the system) there would be no more corrosion with a cutoff or without. A simple low use cutout is to get a welding lead extender. Put it in the hot lead from the battery with the female to the battery. Disconnect then takes one second. Jim

The miltary has used master switches for years. They isolate the battery from being grounded. Hal
