Need a little help. did you use a two row hipper attached to the rear of the super c to build rows are was the hipper attachment connected under the tractor.--what dim. should the rear tires be set center to center for doing a truck patch.--what class ( 1-2-3 ) should a 3point hitch be on the super c.----last ???,,does anyone have any photos that could be emailed to me on what the cultivators look like mounted up to the superc. thanks pete

As far as rear wheel spacing, that all depends on what your row spacing will be. For most crops, the tires should be positioned as close as possible to twice the row spacing. If your using typical 30" rows this would put the tires at 60" center-to-center. A few inches one way or the other won't matter unless you have irrigation furrows in which case it needs to be pretty much right on. If you're looking at narrower spacing for vegetables things get a little more complicated. For example, in some areas onions are grown with two rows on each 40" bed and the tires are set at 80" which means the tractor is straddling four rows. At any rate, if your tractor has a narrow front you obviously need a setup that straddles an even number of rows.

I have 2 Super C's set up for truck gardening. 1st is set up and weighted for plowing discing etc. Wheels are set in all the way. 2nd is set up for planting, cultivating with fertilizer side dressers. I'm currently setting up a 3rd one as a general work tractor to mow, spray etc.

I set up for 36" rows. Tires are set at 72". I don't use hippers but do have 2 busters set up at 18" each side of center. These are mounted on a fast hitch tool bar behind the tractor. IH did make a C18 skip row middle buster that mounted to the front of the tractor. I mounted it once and never again. Too much work.

I have fast Hitches on 2 of my 3 Super C's and much prefer that system to the 3 ph.

1st pic is of C254 cultivators mounted on a Super C
2nd pic is of Super C with Fast Hitch mounted C20 2-14" mold board plow.
3rd pic is Fast Hitch C251 planter with fertilizer.
4th pic is 7' disc harrow.

Dean, thankyou for the pics and explanations and thanks for the pic of the cultivators. they seem to be hard to find here in louisiana,,but i'll keep looking. again thanks.....pete

Saginaw's are Cat 2, have holes in the arms for 1 and 2. Can be tightened to handle Cat 1. Factory 3 points are typically cat 2 for small or medium size tractors, except for the smallest, International 444 I used to drive had cat 1. Not sure where cat 3 comes in, I have driven 80-100 hp JD's with cat 2. But fast hitch has cat 1 spacing.

Likely correct, the 444 is less than 45, the 2020 JD I have driven would be about that HP. 2020 had cat 2, a 4230 with cat 2 had about 90 HP, I think.
