My uncle (a life long farmer now 86) told me years ago to always have 16 foot gates wherever you move equipment through to all your fields as you never know what you will have in the future. He also has a dedicated top link to every 3 point equipment item adjusted to the item and the tractor with which it is used - another real time saver, Hal.

There is alot of diff planters out there, there will be 4 row narrow (28"-34") or a 4 row wide (36"-40")the platform for the models will be built to the width of the larger adjustment, you also have to consider your markers & how there mounted to the unit, usually they will have hardware outside of the frame work.

4x30(90"),or 4x38 (114")?Do the math ,then add around 12" per end for 'overhang'

I kinda think a 4 row is a 4 row, regardless of what tractor it is behind.
