I am looking for guages for the 560 mostly a fuel guage. I have found some but they are either made in india or dont look like my original (different needles things like that). I would really like to get as close to orignal as possible. Anyone know places to get them.

I did a quick search for a Farmall Fuel Gauge on eBay and found one which might be correct for your tractor. I have no interest whatsoever in the auction like being the seller. The item appears to be a used IH gauge with the part no. of 369607R92 and is noted on the face as being 12 V and made in USA. Couldn't make out the manufacturer. This auction ends in a couple of hours like at 19:54 PST. The gauge was noted as being removed from a 560 Diesel and is used on 460-560, 656 tractors. Just wanted to make you aware of the auction, Hal.

I am restoring a Farmall 240 with a 6 volt system and that fuel gauge is really next to impossible to find an IHC original. In my hunt for the 6 volt gauge I ran across several NOS IHC gauges for your 560. Sorry I can't be of more help at this time but did want to offer you the knowledge you will be able to find one in time as they are out there. You might contact Bates in Indiana at www dot batescorp dot com or at one eight hundred 248 twenty nine fifty five by phone as they had several difficult to locate items for my restoration project, Hal.

IH used two different gauges on the 560.

One was a Stewart Warner and I can't recall the other brand.

I was told by my machanic that the new STewart Warner gauge will not work with the old sending unit.

So to replace the gauge you have to replace the sending unit as well.

Kind of costly to replace.

I just bought a 560 diesel that the gauge doesn't work. My 560 gasser did work so I'm gonna take that complete unit and gauge and put it on my diesel.

The gasser is getting weak and I may part it out.

I need to get them both in the shop this winter and swap some pieces around on the two.

Gary
