Are the M and Super M PTO assemblies the same?

I have a 51 M engine and bell housing bolted on to a 52 SM trans.

The external PTO lever has been broke off welded and broken again. How easy is it to replace just that part? rather than the whole assembly.

MOST of the M/Super M ptos were the same (early 39-40 era ptos are a little different) Super M ta had its own,live PTO.Toally different.

Yes ,you can just replace the broken lever part.If you pull the PTO/shaft out the back ,that broken lever can be replaced by removing the inside part that does the actuall shifting and pulling the broken part of shaft back out thru the housing. Not a real difficult job to do
