Found a Farmall 350 that is all original, tires fair, good TA, perfect sheet metal, runs great, still a 6 volt and has a fast hitch with a good sycle bar mower. The lights work but no power steering. They want 3000.00 and wont come down. What do you guys think? I think its too high, but it is very nice, Oh yea original paint and decals, paint is fair. Thanks

Location will affect some, but I think thats high no matter the location. For $3000 firm it better have new tires and power steering. Personally I would keep looking...

well for an "original tractor" thats not bad of a price. to me original ones are worth the most money and thats the ones i go for. once painted its not original.

Value lies in the eyes of the buyer, if it suits your needs and you are willing to pay the price and be happy , go for it. Sometimes a bargain costs more in the long run. IMHO

Think what big box store garden tractor you could buy for that sum. Not much is it. I would consider it a done deal if it runs as well as you indicate. They work and have common and reasonable parts. A modern tractor in all ways. If you need PS, it can be retrofitted or adapted. I like them. Jim

Sounds like a good tractor, but if those "fair tires" bother you any after you buy the tractor you can end up with a total cost of over $4000.00 very quickly with new rubber. Maybe even near $5000.00. Check with your tire dealer as to price for new tires, tubes and installation. Cost of a new paint job down the road will knock your socks off!
If all these numbers do not bother you, then you could end up with a very handy tractor with decent power for many years.

In today"s world, new tire prices can often equal the cost of our old tractors.

If its a balanced head sickle mower $3000 is about right.

"Fair" rear tires can mean a lot of different things. I bought a 350 with HORRIBLE rear tires - but they still lasted 10 years since all they did was light chores and mow hay. The dry rotted sidewalls were bulging pretty bad when I swapped them out last summer.
