doing cab kit in a 986, any advice?

I want to do it right, the first time. Also, since I am doing it, replacing the blower motor and radio/speakers. Any advice on anything else to check out while I am at it, or advice that the instalation instructions fail to mention.

The air coil that is on top of the cap has a foam insulation over the top to direct the air through it. That foam likes to fall apart and plug the coil.

Take the cover off the top and replace that foam if it hasn"t already been done.

Also clean out the drain lines that drain the water from the drip pan on top of the cab. These lines go down the 2 front posts of the cab.

If these are plugged they allow water to flood the new headliner and it will be junk again.

I have done a Case 1370 & 2394 for my neighbor I work for part time.
I dry fitted everything first to be sure all the pieces fit. Don't know if you got a kit with the spray adhesive or not but be sure to really shake the can good.
You don't get a second chance once the foam has stuck to the glue and try not to stretch the pieces.

Good luck

well first thing safety glasses . once you get all the old foam down and cleaned, one of the most important things that i have found out in doing several is make sure your in a building out side don't care where,, make sure temp is 70 degrees plus or you well increases your chance of failure
