A Waukesha in a W-12?

A Waukesha with 133 cubes. That is, according to the forging marks on the crankshaft, what the crank shop says is in this tractor. None of their books have mains listed at all. They found rod bearings, but called Federal-Mogul who says they're discontinued. I was hoping one of you guys might have done one of these engines, maybe tell me where to find the parts. Thanks, Fritz

Federal-Mogul did not list main bearings any more in their 1991 catalog. Now rod bearings; Here is what I would check. My bearing book for the FC Waukesha shows a rod diameter of 1.749/750, housing bore of 1.8555/18560. Bearing width is 1.060. A Farmall C-113 (like a Farmall A) has the same crankpin diameter, the housing bore is 1.875, width is 1.055 so I would take the shims out and hone the rod bores the extra 020 and use the farmall bearings. The mains you probably need to get the shells repoured. There were so many calls for gasket sets that about 15 years ago Victor started making them again, but a man was looking for a set this fall and I was told Victor has now dropped it again. You might want to post this on the Case form as well since the FC was also used in the RC Case. More questions if you think I can help find me on the Oliver site. Good Luck. J.

Try Rice Equipment. They had Std. rod bearings for my 33 waukesha. 32&33 F12s had waukesha, First W12 was 1934. I have SN.554. Good Luck. Bob P.

You could probably install the C113 or C123 engine blocks if no parts are available for your Waukesha. Hal
Here's a W-12 that was used by the military and a farmer in Ohio now owns it. He repainted it too. Hal

I have no connection with them.

A Waukesha with 133 cubes is a model FC. IHC never used a FC that is 3-1/4 x 4 stroke/bore. IHC used instead a FL that is 3 x 4 stroke/bore for F-12 tractors up to serial number 3035, in 1933. There were no W-12's then. I have known people to put in the FC in place of the FL or IHC overhead if it broke, as the FC had more power; and they were dime a dozen being used in orchard sprayers, forklifts, and the CASE RC. Check your mains, If memory serves the FL had poured babbit mains where the FC had inserts.
