Checking transmission fluid

There is a level plug on the side of the transmission just forward of the clutch pedal. Park on a level spot and when you remove the plug the oil should be level with the bottom of the hole. If the tractor has not been moved for several days it is good to crack open the drain plugs and drain out any water out before checking the oil level, it is a real pain when the water freezes this time of year and the tractor can't be moved. By the way this is assuming you have an H or a Super H, the H stopped production in 53.
